“Business Essentials” separates cost of device and airtime similar to consumer tariff Refresh

O2 has launched a new tariff for small businesses based on its popular consumer tariff refresh, as exclusively revealed by Mobile News in May.

O2 CFO Mark Evans told Mobile News the success of Refresh in the consumer space had spurred the decision to launch a SME offering, which it has now named Business Essentials.

Business Essentials offers unlimited calls and texts on most tariffs, with businesses able to either pay for their device up front or spread the cost over a 24 month loan, with 0pc APR.Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 10.38.13

Businesses will be given the option to upgrade at any time by paying off the outstanding value of the device, leaving only a cost for the monthly airtime.

O2 business director Ben Dowd: “Too often, big businesses assume that small businesses are all the same and offer a one-size-fits-all solution. With Business Essentials we’re putting customers in the driving seat, giving them the transparency, control and flexibility to choose exactly the right device, airtime and business apps for them.

“We have seen first-hand from our customers how the right technology can help any company work smarter, faster and more efficiently.”

The devices available on Business Essentials are across the whole O2 SMB device portfolio and all Business Essential deals include 4G.

Businesses can also choose to include a range of additional business apps including Office 365, McAfee Multi Access and O2 Just Call Me.
